Crisis Mechanisms

Implement reliable procedures for:

• dectecting, defusing or minimizing the impact of an event in its initial stages:

           - dectecting potential crisis events,
           - evaluating a situation and the degree of mobilization required,
           - taking initial action...

• if the crisis does occur:

           - quickly activaiong the crisis mechanism,
           - early warning for teams that will be called upon when the crisis hits,
           - readiness to communicate, by preparing the human and material means,
           - maximizing implementation of action plans, crisis management and decision-making.

The crisis mechanism must serve the manager running the crisis management.

It must create an environment that is conducive to taking a step back and making decisions.

Moreover, the crisis mechanism must complement quality control (ISO standards) and statutory safety procedures, as well as meeting insurance requirements.
